Classes and Specialties Offered

Open Water 

This is the first step to the underworld. In this class, you will learn all the basic underwater skills and the dive gear you will be using. Apart from attending classroom and confined water sessions, you’ll do four open water dives to get certified.

This class is for ages 15 and above. Students age 10 to 15 will have the same training but receive a Junior Open Water Diver certification. Fees for this class are inclusive of the books, classroom time, confined water sessions (pool time in our 83-degree saltwater on-site pool), gear rental, and four open water dive sessions.

Advanced Open Water 

This class is composed of five specialty areas that you have to complete. Two of those areas, namely Deep Dive and Navigation, are required. For the remaining three, you have the freedom to select from various options, meaning you can tailor your own class and do the things you are most interested in.

Underwater Photography

If you have the desire to learn how to capture an image underwater in a way nobody else has, then this one is for you. Our course will teach you the how-tos of capturing still images underwater with film or digital, utilizing a point-and-shoot camera or fully housed digital SLR system.


In the PADI Underwater Photography course, you will learn about the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards, and enjoyment of shooting underwater still photographs. In general, this course serves as a safe and supervised introduction to underwater still photography techniques.


The goals are to equip you with skills and develop your practical knowledge of photographic principles, composition, film types, strobe and available light shots, and camera handling techniques. In addition, you will learn proper preparation, care, and maintenance of photographic equipment. 


Deep Water

The PADI Deep Diver course acquaints you with the skills, theoretical knowledge, techniques, hazards, and enjoyment of deep diving while avoiding the necessity of making "decompression stops” prior to surfacing. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to plan, organize, and make no-decompression dives between the depths of 60 and 130 feet. This course emphasizes experience, fun, and safety.

Boat Diving

Since boat diving is a very popular activity and provides divers access to some of the best dive sites, this certification is a must. The PADI Boat Diver course covers topics ranging from proper procedures to boat safety and etiquette. The following will be discussed in this course:


  • Gear storage and preparation
  • Entries and exits from the boat during various surface conditions
  • Descent and ascents using lines
  • Identification of potential safety concerns such as currents, waves, and other dive site hazards

Dry Suit

The PADI Dry Suit course is designed to familiarize you with the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards, and enjoyment when diving with a dry suit. This course is intended to serve as a safe and supervised introduction to dry suit diving. The goal is to develop your knowledge of dry suits, covering topics such as:

  • When to use a dry suit
  • Type of dry suits that are available
  • Dry suit accessories
  • Maintenance and how to make minor repairs of a dry suit

Enriched Air or Nitrox

The PADI Nitrox course is designed to teach you the procedures, safety protocols, hazards, benefits, and theory of no¬-decompression diving with oxygen-enriched air containing 22% to 40% oxygen.

The emphasis is on diving with EANx32 and EANx36 (also referred to as NOAA Nitrox I and II). Additionally, the training will focus on the importance of proper procedures to ensure safety as well as realistically balance the pros and cons of enriched air diving.

Search and Recovery


Have you ever dropped something in the water? Are you looking for a lost treasure? The PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course will teach you effective ways to find objects underwater and bring them to the surface. You'll learn search and recovery dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques, and potential problems. You'll also cover limited visibility, search patterns, and safe object recovery using lift devices.


This course equips you with the skills required to successfully organize and conduct a search for lost items. Various underwater search patterns as well as when and how to conduct these patterns will be discussed. In addition, the proper use of lift equipment will be examined.

Rescue Diver

This class promotes self-rescue and teaches rescue techniques for assisting others in an emergency. A CPR/first aid card is required, but if you don’t have one, we can help you get certified.


While this is a very demanding class, you are sure to have fun even when dealing with some issues. Most people even say that they had the best time in this class, not to mention it was the most rewarding.

Master Scuba Diver 

This is the highest rating you can receive in diving without going professional. In fact, this is considered the black belt of scuba diving. To complete this class, you must finish the advanced class, possess five distinct specialties, complete the Rescue Diver Class, and have 50 signed and logged dives. 




 

DiveMaster 

This is the first step to going professional. In this class, you will work closely with the instructor, gain confidence in yourself, and learn how to assist students. After the completion of your class, you can do an internship with the instructor and complete four Discover Scuba Diving classes. Once you have completed the internship, you can teach Discover Scuba Diving on your own and get professionally paid.
